As I said in my earlier post, I have been kind of stuck in where to go next. I've been toying with the idea of making another Happy Potter house blanket for a friend of mine or making a second pap art blanket with my Catching Fire pattern-- but neither idea really excited me the way the Mockingjay and District by District blanket did. I'm still definitely stuck in the Hunger Games mindset, and I'm not feeling like I want to leave these books yet-- but I don't want to keep retracing my own steps.
So I thought last night (I have actually be thinking about this particular character since last June when I finished the first book in the series) about Rue.
So that's where I'm going-- what I'm doing: a tribute to Rue. The girl who, for me, symbolized everything wrong with war and pop culture, and the inhumanity of man.
This one will take a while, and unlike my last project, I don't want to post any in progress pictures. So if you don't hear from me for a while, it's because of this project.
I'll probably be working on some other side projects (for my own sanity mostly), and will post anything I finish.
